A week on my feet

I am joining in with Luxury Flooring‘s “A Week On My Feet” campaign, inspired by one of my favourite Instagram accounts #IHaveThisThingWithFloors. The aim is to document my week by taking a snap each day of where I am standing but I must warn you that this post contains a lot of bare foot action as it turns out I am not really into shoes at this time of year!

Things are a little quiet around here at the moment as we haven’t managed to get off on holiday this summer as Jules is crazy busy with work so there’s been a lot of hanging around London trying to make the most of the sun when it decides to say hello (by the way, have you seen the forecast for this week? YES!). So, here is a diary of a very normal week around here…

I started the week on a shoot in the most amazing house – all the heart eyes for the design and colours of these unique floor tiles. The only problem was that the house was very old and the floor very unlevel so getting a straight shot was impossible!

A week on my feet requires a bit of pampering, right?! A lovely friend gave me a Cowshed voucher recently and an Ultimate Pedicure watching Friends is one of my very favourite things to do.

A quick tour of the shops on Oxford Street to pick up a few props (I know it’s a crazy thing to do but sometimes needs must) and I can never pass Liberty without taking a snap of their flowers.

Every day of my week begins with a dog walk and it is the best way to start the day. Just look at that face!

This week I have been thinking about really easy ways to refresh my bathroom, which is showing a few signs of wear and tear and a distinct lack of love. The only thing I have ever done in my bathroom was put in this vinyl flooring when I first moved in six years ago so it’s probably time for a bit of TLC.

The scruffiest of trainers for a quick flower and plant run to our local market…

…and of course, I can’t go to the market without picking up ALL the pastries for a delicious weekend breakfast. I blame the baby 😉

And we finished the week off with dinner out with family and I spotted this rather nice flooring in the restaurant. I kind of like the combination of engineered wood flooring with patterned tiles. What do you think?

I hope we get all the sun this week – enjoy everyone!

Those tiles in the first picture are to die for! Love the colours. We have patterned tiles in our kitchen that leads on to a wood floor in the open plan living area (like in the bottom shot) and I think it works really well. Glad you approve!

Love this. I want to get a new floor for our bathroom too but just can not decide what will work best. Any ideas? 🙂

I love both the tiled floors! It’s my dream to have a house with ornate patterned portuguese tiles on the floor 🙂
